Roundtable Hours: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
The roundtable is a monthly series held on the third Tuesday of each month at Art In FLUX Harlem. It is intended to be a creative dialogue among musicians, dancers, visual artists, historians and foodies discussing the dominant motifs and myths found within the culture they focus upon in their own work.
Two speakers per month briefly introduce their work and may pose a question to the group and then the conversation is opened up to the group. These discussions are meant to foster a community where local artists and practitioners brainstorm and bridge varying disciplines through their common language.
Ellen Hackl Fagan's ColorSoundGrammar work weaves threads from pop music, decorative art, complexity theory, Jungian psychology and Eastern philosophy. She builds connections in abstract paintings between color and sound, inviting a balance between randomness and intention.
